Bawstin — Emerging Hero
|Bawstin is my hero. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know there are many amazing dogs being nominated, they are true hero’s that have rescued and served. They deserve praise and recognition for all they’ve done. They also deserve this award more as they have likely not just saved one life but many. I want to commend and congratulate those special animals as well.
I wanted to take this opportunity to nominate my boy. He is my personal hero. I have never once regretted my decision to rescue him. Funny part about that is he actually rescued me & saved my life. Caring for him has helped me to overcome losses, grief, illness and stress. He is not a certified therapy dog, though I have often thought of doing so. He is a special boy. His little personality is one of a kind. He is funny, gentle and loving. He reminds me not to take life or myself too seriously. He instinctively knows when I’m not doing well physically or emotionally and responds by nudging me and squeezing himself under my arms or onto my lap until he loves me all better. It’s hard to explain but having his never ending devotion and selfless love inspires me and pushes me along during times when I don’t even want to get out of bed. He offers me a level of emotional support that no one else can- professional or otherwise. He is always by my side & makes me feel safe and loved. Bawstin is not only my hero but my best friend ❤?
