Bella — Shelter
Bella is an amazing little rescue dog. Her prior family somehow broke her back and left this little girl paralyzed. At one point, it was asked if putting her down was the best option. Then, a wonderful organization called Misplaced Mutts stepped in and placed Bella into a foster home until we adopted this special little girl into our large family of dogs.
Bella fits right into our family. She quickly became the alpha over our 4 other dogs in the household. She does not let her disability hold her back and define her. She loves her 2 older siblings Jack and Ella (age 11) who she can nap with throughout the day, but she also loves playing with her baby brothers (age 2 and 1) and adapts very well to them.
She has several modes of transportation. She has her set of wheels (which are in the photo provided). But I also caved and bought her a child’s car with a parental remote. Since one of her k9 brothers is named Bentley, I couldn’t resist buying her her very own Bentley to ride around the neighborhood in. She also has a stroller and enjoys being carried.
Bella wears diapers but can easily go without them throughout the majority of the day. I pretty much only put them on her if I am going to be gone or at bed time.
Also, Bella has become a wonderful dog for me. I have Autism and she can read me very well. My therapist suggested signing her up to be an emotional support animal which I did, online. She keeps me grounded when I become anxious. I love her so much
