Bridgette — Emerging Hero

Charity Partner: Pets for Patriots
Location: Irvine, Pennsylvania

I’m nominating my dog Bridgette for this prestigious award because if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here today. When I lost my other Pom and dad in 2013, I was in a pretty bad place and I made up my mind in April of 2014 on my birthday I was going to commit suicide. I started to withdraw from outside interests my friends and even family members. I went and visited some friends whom I wanted to say goodbye after making up my mind to commit suicide. I had two very special friends Andy and Janet Gregory whom came and talked with my mom when I visited my last friend, and wanted to know if I would like another dog to get me out if my funk. Janet said she came across a Pomeranian in our local guide (mind you she never read the guide but she later told me that something told her to read it this time). Mom wasn’t sure but they would have to ask me since I said I didn’t want another one due to heartbreak of Tugger and my Dad. Andy called me when I got back home and wanted to make sure I was going to our bowling league the next night and after much persuasion I said yes. After bowling he pulled me to the side and said he was picking me up the next morning to go look at Bridgette I was reluctant but finally agreed. He picked me up and off we went, when we arrived Andy said she may he nervous she will come around. We went in and Bridgette came right to me sat down and wanted picked up I knew it was meant to be. Alive and Well. Picture is her first at house she saved my life ♥♥♥
