Finn — Shelter

Location: Graham, North Carolina

This is Finn believed to be a German Shepherd grey hound mix adopted on october 8th of 2018.
I was going through some difficult times in my life and I knew something was missing I decided I wanted to adopt a dog especially after many animals had been displaced after hurricane Florence. He took to me immediately and I knew I couldn’t imagine a world without him. I had so much anxiety to let him go off leash and then one day it just happened and I realized that this boy would never leave my side for nothing in world. We’ve had the best couple of months in the world and then it happened. One night coming home from a friends house we got into a terrible car accident causing me to become trapped in the car with a broken pelvis, ribs and foot and Finns leg was also broken Finn somehow managed to get out of the car ran to the people up the road on the highway with a broken leg and lead them to me. My boyfriend tried to carry him to safety to get him to the EV but he wouldn’t let them until I was in the ambulance it wasn’t until the next morning that I was able to see my little buddy but the minute we saw each other we both hobbled to one another sobbing. We both may have a long road of recovery ahead of each other but I know I wouldn’t be able to do it without him. This was written for the most Protective, loving and local shelter dog I think I could have ever came across and there’s not a day that I wouldn’t cross oceans for him!
