Holland the Pup — Shelter
I adopted my dog Holland from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in 2015 and two years ago we left our home state of Florida to go on an epic road trip to eat our way around North America! Holland has been the best sidekick a guy could ever ask for and has showed me unconditional love and companionship along our journey. Over the last two years we have visited 18 states in the USA and 3 provinces in Canada. We have visited 11 NHL arenas, 9 MLB stadiums, 3 NCAA football stadiums, and 3 NFL stadiums! Holland and I were invited to be in a parade in Roswell, New Mexico and have met so many amazing people along our journey. Holland has helped me come out of my shell and make it easier for me to talk to people as we travel. Everyone loves her and I’m so happy to be her “dad” and so proud of her. She has also been an honorary ranch dog at a dude ranch in Colorado last summer, and she absolutely loves running around both snow and sand, which we have seen a lot of around North America. She also climbed a 14er (Mt. Massive) with me this past summer. There were several times where I wanted to give up on the hike, but she motivated me to keep going. Holland has definitely brought a lot of happiness to my life, and to the lives of many other people we have met on our journey! The picture attached is after we had made our way to San Francisco (driving all the way from Florida) and stopped for some photos by the Golden Gate Bridge!
