Jake from Statefarm — Shelter

Location: Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Jake from Statefarm has a unique name and a story to match. He was pulled from a rural shelter in Kentucky by the Kentucky Humane Society. His name at the time was Jake and the workers noticed something very special about him. He looked like he was wearing khakis. This caused them to think of a certain insurance commercial and thus they tweeted about him, tagging the official Jake from Statefarm account. After some back and forth, Statefarm eventually sponsored his adoption so that he could find a home. When I first saw him we had a connection and I quickly adopted him for my own keeping his name as Jake from Statefarm of course. Statefarm wrote an article on our story and when I reached out to them they responded and sent a lot of statefarm gear for us. Since getting him my life has improved so much. He is currently in training to be a service dog along with training to compete in agility and nose work. He has gained a bit of following on facebook and Instagram @jakefromsfpup.
