Lucky — Emerging Hero
My Lucky is my hero because he has been with me through thick and thin. After a horrible break up and losing my beloved dog Maya in a tragic way, I was having a hard time. I believe she sent Lucky to me. I believe she sent Lucky to me. He was scared, skin and bone, afraid of food, water, men and life. He didn’t I know how to play, chew on a bone or play fetch. He would coward at everything. It took me 4 years to get him to potty on a leash while on doggie walks (Sunday fun days). He learned that we were good people. He learned how to trust. My Annie girl taught him the ways. Over the years he has had a few cancer surgeries. He loves his cat. Bath, teeth cleanings, the blow dryer, fresh blankets and snuggles are his favorite.
He was by my side after I had to put my Annie to rest. Having her almost 16yrs this broke my heart. She was diabetic and received a shot twice daily with meds for Addisons and bouts with pancreatitis.
Lucky cried with me for 2 days and laid in bed licking my tears. I was physically sick and he never left my side.He takes care of me when I am sick. He is the best listener after a rough day. He loves visiting the fire department and sitting in the truck. He has grown and developed a personality over the years and no pup will ever be able to replace him. He holds my heart.
I honestly don’t know what I would do without him.
I honestly didn’t know how to put into words how social he is to me. I love him! Our new home would not be a home without him.
