Mason — Service
I suffer from psychiatric illnesses, such as sever anxiety, bipolar disorder and PTSD. With bipolar disorder sometimes I slip into psychotic episodes where I feel stuck and then the panic attacks come in. Mason my service dog senses when something is wrong. The biggest thing he does for me is he pulls me out of those episodes. He will jump on top of me and put all his weight on my chest. Which calms my panic attacks down and eventually I come out of the psychotic episode. Mason has saved my life in many ways, when he senses something is wrong he will automatically comes to me and applies pressure, which lets me know it’s ok. With mental illnesses you do have times where you just want to end it all, when I’m feeling this way Mason will come to me and apply pressure to let me know it’s ok. When we are out in public which is difficult for me, my anxiety goes sky high. When I’m with Mason and the anxiety and the flashbacks from PTSD come I will fall into a fight or flight scenario. I also get extremely angry when I’m in a large group of people, but with Mason he will always lean or let you know he is there, and it does calm me down. Also he brings me back to reality from the flashbacks from PTSD. Like I said Mason has saved my life numerous times all because from my suffering of mental illnesses. I can always rely on him to help me when things in my mind go hay wire.
