Stryker — Service
My dog Stryker has been such a blessing for me and my family. He is always by my side, no matter what, and he is happy to be there. He has allowed me to remain active with my family, and he has been by my side through some very dark and rough times. He and I were in a very serious car accident last year and that didn’t slow him down at all, even though I had to spend 2 weeks in the hospital, he was there with me as much as he could be. There are many days that I’m not able to leave the house or do much and he is stuck inside with me not doing anything but he is still there at my side. He accompanies me to many, many doctors appointments week after week. He has allowed me to be able to do things with my family that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise. I’m able to continue attending my daughters cheer competitions, which I wouldn’t be able to do without him. He goes with me to those competitions, which are very loud and crowded and he helps me navigate those places and helps me to get out of there if my PTSD is triggered there, which it often is. The picture attached was taken outside of a very large cheer competition that I would not have been able to attend without him. I’m able to continue living my life despite some debilitating disabilities, thanks to him. I can’t imagine my life without him now, and he is definitely a hero dog in my book.
