Bug — Service
My Yorkie, Bug here, not only alerts me to impending seizures, whether they’re tonic clonic, complex partial or absence, so that I can take the steps necessary to make myself at least a bit safer, before a seizure begins. Bug ALSO will go and get the nearest human being and try to get them to follow him, back to me, once I do start seizing. From outside, going for a walk, to at home, in my room…he’s incredibly dependable. Bug ALWAYS goes to get help after giving me a heads up. HE has given me back some of the hard lost INDEPENDENCE that the Epilepsy took in my early 20’s (& forward) and I TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE.
I WOULD NEVER EVEN TAKE A SHOWER WITHOUT HIM, RIGHT THERE. WITHOUT HIM, I COULD DROWN IN A HALF A CENTIMETER OF WATER. MY LIFESAVER. I OWE HIM EVERYTHING. REALLY.
