Frangelica Meloni — Therapy
Frangelica has changed my life, as well as many others. I rescued her at 10 months old and began to work with her with obedience training. In 2014, she was certified at the Advanced Level as a Therapy Dog with PAWS for People. She obtained her Master’s in 2015. She has worked with people of every age, through schools, libraries, the Delaware County Court House (where she started the program), an Assisted Living location with those with dementia, and numerous other locations over the years. In August of 2019, despite having lost an eye to Gluacoma, she got married in a ceremony at Rose Tree Park to raise funds for PAWS for People; we raised almost $13,000, had close to 600 people in attendance and she was in the papers and on television with her husband, Shaggydog. Whatever she has done over the years, she has made others smile and made me so proud. I couldn’t ask for a better “baby” and the country couldn’t ask for a better therapy dog.
