Lacey — Shelter
Lacey was originally my foster puppy. Her and her siblings ended up at a shelter in NJ after animal control seized them and the mom. I am a volunteer for Outcast Rescue and agreed to foster. They were loaded with parasites and had lived in a barn. Lacey was shy and fearful. My adult daughter and her started bonding and I foster failed. Fast forward to April 27th 2020 I get home from work and go up to shower immediately because I had a new foster and I work at a training facility so I’m always careful . Within seconds my dogs are going crazy so I run down stairs and it’s 2 state police officers standing in masks to tell me my daughter was deceased. My world shattered. Since that day Lacey has become my rock. Days I can barely breathe she makes sure I get up and gives me purpose. She is the most sweet, sensitive amazing dog a grieving mother could have.
