Zepp — Service
Zepp came into my life around 4 years ago when he was just 3-5 weeks old. Being both my first dog and a mixed breed with unknown lineage, training him was not easy, but I managed to train him myself and now he saves my life daily. He not only keeps me safe, he’s given me back my independence and ability to function somewhat normally. He is a medical alert and psychiatric service dog who does tasks ranging from alerting me that I am about to pass out, to simple deep pressure therapy. He is the happiest, goofiest, most loving dog I’ve ever met and makes everyone around him smile. As a service dog, he knows when to be calm and collected, and can hold a down stay for hours on end, despite the fact that he is a high drive and high energy dog. He is trained to work primarily off leash due to both the tasks he performs and also the nature of my disabilities. Zepp has opened so many doors for me that I never thought would be opened (quite literally too, as one of his tasks is opening doors). We’ve overcome so many obstacles together and I wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for him. I hope you love my boy as much as I do!
