Donatello — Shelter
Donatello was brought into a high kill Southern California shelter. He was malnourished, dehydrated, aggressive, aged, and had severe dental disease. Because of his breed, age, health condition, and behavioral issues, he would soon be euthanized. Dream Team Angels Rescue felt Donatello deserved a better life, so they rescued him. After several months of medical care and love, Donatello blossomed into an amazing pup. His foster mommy fell in love with him and made a promise to him that he would live the best life for as long as he had on this earth. Currently at a ripe age of 17, he’s the pupbassador for senior shelter dogs. Donatello travels with his mommy to do shelter meetings and protests, and to speak out for shelter reform. He also helps to raise money for free microchip and free spay and neuter clinics. He has been interviewed on news shows. Donatello educates elementary school students about properly caring for pets and the importance of adopting a dog or cat in need and the importance of spay/neuter and vaccinating. Donatello has his own Facebook page where he educates others about the importance of adopting shelter dogs, especially the seniors. He also reminds everyone to spread more love, kindness, and compassion to others.
Donatello is leading the crusade in educating others about the love a shelter dog can give. He is a true little American Hero Dog in this huge world.
